How to make shortbread

This is my mum’s recipe.


250g of butter

2 tablespoons of ground rice or rice flour

1/3 of a cup of icing sugar

2 cups of plain flour


Rub butter into sifted dry ingredients, press ingredients together firmly, turn onto lighly floured surface. knead lightly until smooth. Then use christmas cookie cutters to make shapes. put on oven tray and cook for 25-30 minutes.
